Is it possible to have too much of a good thing? We don’t think so, but this summer we’re going to find out.
How? Because we’ve extended our taproom opening times from one night a week to three.
The success of our taproom has probably been our proudest achievement so far. We opened in 2022 with hay bales to sit on and a bar made from pallets. Since then, we’ve had so many banging nights, with fantastic and regular support from a growing band of locals, plus others coming from further afield to see what it’s all about. Our next-door campsite is also pulling in more customers. After all, what could be better than having a pub less than a hundred yards from your tent?
We’re learning as we go, but it seems we’ve managed to create a night out that’s a little bit different.
Maybe because it’s in a metal shed in a field. Perhaps it’s the live music and great food. Hopefully, the beer has got something to do with it. And, of course, you can bring the dog (and children).
Selling directly to our customers through the taproom has always been our main goal, so we’ve made the decision to really push ourselves and see if we can make it an even bigger success.
Thursday nights will be when we have Terry’s legendary pub quiz, an open mic session or the Cirencester meeting of the People Planet Pint group. Fridays and Saturdays are just about enjoying the weekend.
Right now, it’s a bit chilly TBH, so coats are the order of the day once the sun goes down. But assuming it stops raining soon, we cannot wait for the warm summer evenings to return so we can properly get this party started!
If you haven’t done so already, come down and see what it’s all about. And if you have, then it’d be great to see you again soon.
