Amongst the many things Nick brings to our team, in the early days the most revered were our brewing kit and the use of his posh shed to call our home. But now he is driving our business plan, the associated paperwork and building our industry connections. Born and raised near the Water Park, there’s little Nick doesn’t know about the lakes (and the people who live near them). A qualified actuary and someone who, bizarrely, but actively, sought out a role in ’Risk’, Nick is the exception that proves the rule; the rule that Actuarial Science and Risk is boring. A talented musician, you may also find him performing with his band at local pubs and festivals.

The newest member of our team, Dean spends his weekends playing with hammers, saws and anything with the potential to severely injure or maim. One of life’s natural handy men, he’s able to make pretty much anything – except dinner, much to Danni’s frustration. During the week, he opts for tools that are kinder to the hands and is our brand manager, website designer and guardian of our online and offline marketing assets. More recently, Dean’s stepped up on the brewing front, too, providing valuable support to Nick and putting his tastebuds on the line in the name of “research”. Mistakenly, he also considers himself to be the ‘handsome one’ of the team – an opinion not widely shared.

The ultimate networker, Chris is responsible for building our connections and sales pipeline with like-minded local partners. When not touting white-label opportunities with some of the best eateries in the Cotswolds, Chris is a sports video analyst, watching hours of rugby and getting paid for the privilege. Despite his tough exterior, he’s a big softie really, and has rescued a street dog called Kalinka. He’s also our resident pyromaniac, never happier than poking at the coals of a BBQ, which qualifies him for the role of head pizzaiolo at the Dough Box (for now). Chris drives a big truck, so if you ever need a piano shifting, he’s your man.
